Co-curricular Activities

Kumadvathi College of Education, Shikaripura College not only focuses upon the intellectual development of our future generation teachers, but also takes care of their emotional and behavioral development by inculcating sound moral values, responsibility and social awareness. We are doing it through different co-curricular activities and some special celebrations like national festivals.

Keeping in view the all round development of the student teachers mainly focusing to teaching profession given importance to Co-Curricular activities. Some of them are essay, speech, handwriting, slogan writing competitions. Poetry recitation, story writing, Dance, music, drawing, debate, Mehandi cooking without fire shows are given place in the academic planning. Students choose their activities and get trained in various levels.

         Objectives of organsing Co-curricular Activities 

• To encourage the Student Teachers to develop relevant pedagogical knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
• To prepare teachers to become role models in class rooms to be an instrument for building productive human capital in our country to face the challenges of globalization.
• To enhance the competency of the teachers at upper primary, secondary and higher secondary level of education.
• To strengthen the skills of teachers in classroom and school management.
• To develop new skills required for teachers in organizing instructional methods through novel multimedia approaches.
• To develop pupils’ character, values, leadership and life skills through authentic and engaging activities.
• To develop social, intellectual, moral values, personality progress.
• To develop build character to students.
• To develop promote mental, emotional, and physical health.
