Internal Quality Assurance Cell :

Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. As per the UGC guidelines, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is established at Kumadvathi College of Education with the Principal; Dr. Shivakumar G S being the Chairman.The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution. It promotes measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices. The IQAC ensures that whatever is done in the institution for “education” is done efficiently and effectively. The IQAC has the potential to become a vehicle for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality. IQAC of the college is taking the initiation to fulfull the vision and missions of the college.

Functions of KCE – IQAC :

• Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institute.
• Facilitating the creation of a learner centric environment conductive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge, skill and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
• Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality rested institutional processes.
• Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars, conferences on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles;
• Organization of orientation, refresher, thematic, short term , long term programs to promote quality academic and non academic staff development;
• Documentation of various activities and preparing academic/activity calendar leading to the quality improvement and accountability staff and students
• Academic auditing for development of quality culture in the college.
• Overlooking the execution of institutional best practices, especially Pedagogies.
• Timely submission of AQARs.
